Clean Air Library HRM is a collaboration between PoPNS and Mask 4 Mask Queers Halifax that lends free air purifiers to community members hosting events. Whether you’re planning a small get-together or a large show – let us help you make your gathering spaces safer and healthier!
The lending library consists of PC-fan Corsi-Rosenthal boxes, which outperform commercial HEPA air purifiers while using less electricity. The boxes measure 22 x 22 x 7 inches each, are very light, and are virtually silent (40 decibels). Pickup and dropoff locations are in Halifax.
Air purifiers improve indoor air quality, reducing the risk of airborne disease transmission and mitigating other air quality issues (e.g., wildfire smoke, allergens). For the greatest protection against SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne pathogens, experts recommend using multiple control measures in a layered approach including air filtration, ventilation, well-fitting respirators, and reduction of crowding and time spent indoors. Once a member of our team has approved your booking, you will receive an email with information about where to pick up and return your purifier(s).
